Gum disease, also known as periodontal disease and periodontitis is an inflammatory condition affecting the tissues surrounding a tooth.Gum disease is the top cause of tooth loss in the USA. Another commonly known aspect of gum disease is gingivitis. Gingivitis is a bacterial infection of the mouth tissue and a condition leading to gum disease.
Don't wait! Once gum disease takes hold in a mouth the bacteria and toxins damage the teeth’s tissue and bone, destroying everything in it's path and ultimately leading to tooth loss.
Gum or Periodontal disease is caused by a bacterial infection in your mouth. In the early stages of it's cycle, it is referred to as gingivitis. The good news is that it is both preventable and reversible.
